Butterfly Hollow has been featured in the Spring/Summer edition of the New York Weddings Magazine. The article title “When the Wedding Is Also the Honeymoon” features wedding venues throughout the world where bridal couples can be married and enjoy their honeymoon all in the same place. You can find more information at New York Weddings.
Butterfly Hollow is a premier wedding venue nestled in Gordonsville that has been hosting gorgeous gatherings for over a year. Butterfly Hollow prides itself in its beautiful 82 acres equipped with a full bed and breakfast, hillside gazebo, floral garden, and rustic barn. Not to mention the amazing views of the Cumberland Plateau ridge, spring fed pond, and 3 miles of walking trails. This place truly has it all. It’s the perfect spot for an intimate, rustic, yet elegant wedding ceremony.
The folks at Butterfly Hollow can take care of your entire day with their “turn-key” packages or allow you to do all the planning with your own vendors. Want to do your own planning but don’t know where to start? No problem, they have a list of recommended vendors to narrow down your search. The bed and breakfast allows you to relax and enjoy the entire estate on your big day, and also provides lodging for your out of town guests or wedding party.
The convenience offered is unlike your typical venue. With only one wedding booked per day, you and your guests will have all 82 acres to yourself. Packages are available for weekdays and weekend events. For more details like them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/butterflyhollow/?fref=ts or visit their website at http://butterflyhollow.com/
Thank you to Tracy Brewington and Tracy Brewington Photography for featuring our bed and breakfast in her recent blog as a featured wedding venue in the Nashville area.

Butterfly Hollow is a secluded location that is perfect for an elopement outside of the Nashville area. The bed and breakfast is located on 82 acres, and you feel like you are in the middle of nature. We heard hawks, saw an owl, and saw several rabbits while photographing at this location. It is tucked into the Cumberland Plateau foothills, Butterfly Hollow is a short 45 minute drive east of Nashville Tennessee .
It is truly a secluded slice of heaven, the porch holds several hammocks and swings. If you are planning an elopement or intimate wedding, I would recommend checking them out.

Amazing how quickly summer has passed. Butterfly Hollow has been busy the past few months hosting beautiful wedding ceremonies and guests from around the globe (yes we have had a few international guests this year).
As we continue to accept bed and breakfast guests and perform wedding ceremonies the value of our past guests referrals and recommendations play a vital role in our business model. Several guests have written in our guestbook expressing their appreciation for what the Hollow has to offer. A few have sent personalized notes and others posted comments on TripAdvisor or Facebook. Beth Ann and I read each comment and are humbled by the expressions of gratitude.
Happy Hump Day! In the B&B business not sure Wednesday can be classified as our “middle of the week” but for most of you it is the traditional term used to signify the day you get over the hump of your work week. With several of our guests visiting over the weekend, we do celebrate TGIF with open arms!
Our recent recognition byas a top 20 weekend getaway in Tennessee has brought an increase in phone calls asking for information. The biggest question being asked is “What is there to do?”. Of course our immediate response is RELAX. With 82 acres of solitude, birds signing all around you, 3 miles of walking trails, and plenty of areas to cuddle up and take a nap what more could one ask for?
For those staying with us over multiple days, there is plenty to do within an hour or two drive. If its listening to live music in downtown Nashville, canoeing down the Caney Fork River, enjoying waterfalls in the eastern part of our state, sippin’ wines at one of the multiple Tennessee wineries, or soaking up some sun on near by lakes, we are centrally located to enjoy any one of these activities as a day trip.
We love helping our guests create memorable times here at Butterfly Hollow and would love to have you stay with us if you are looking for just an overnight getaway, an anniversary trip, family reunion or week long vacation. Our weekends do fill up quickly so planning a few months in advance is highly recommended. Or better yet celebrate your Hump Day in conjuntion with our Monday Blues.

Spring has definitely arrived in the hollow. If you are like us we are glad to see winter drift away and welcome the warm weather with open arms.
The trees have started to bloom, flowers are peaking out of the ground, the grass has been mowed for the first time and the garden has been tilled. Best of all everything seems to have made it through the cold winter and deep freeze of last weekend.
Spring always brings a new challenge for us. The challenge of doing to much! Blue skies, warm sunshine, and longer days give us extra energy to spend outside. At Butterfly Hollow this extra energy is spent in our gardens. After cooking and cleaning in the morning nothing feels better than being outdoors. This past weekend (after the two day deep freeze) we were able to plant over 150 flowers and vegetables. It is always a back breaking springtime ritual but the end result is all worth it. Now we begin the process of watching it all come alive. Some call it therapy, others call it refreshing. If you are like me, I call it working on my tan!
The other thing spring brings is weddings. We have had five wonderful weddings the past two weeks and feel honored so many select Butterfly Hollow to share in their special day. If you recently got engaged or in discussions with your fiance where to get married we would welcome your call or email. If you are married and want to renew your vows this to can be accomplished at Butterfly Hollow
Want to walk the garden? Pull a few weeds? Or explore our hiking trails? Remember you can make reservations for the B&B on our website at.
As March came in like a lion and out like a lamb, we look forward to April showers with hopes of bringing May flowers.
